JAKARTA, April 29 Kyodo (EDS: UPD...JAKARTA, April 29 Kyodo (EDS: UPDATING) Indonesian police said Thursday they intend to rearrest jailed militant Muslim cleric Abu Bakar Bashir, the alleged spiritual leader of Muslim extremist assemblage Jemaah Islamiyah, soon after his release from prison Friday. ''We have set enough evidence for the arrest,'' National Police Detective Unit Chief Suyitno Landung told a of the present days conference. ''He was seen making an inspection in a formality where militants were conducting training at the Hubaidiyah camp in the southern Philippines,'' Landung added. National Police spokesman Bashir Ahmad Barmawi later said the camp in the southern Philippines' Mindanao Island is where the Jemaah Islamiyah-owned Islamic Military Academy provided military training to followers. Barmawi said the observance that Landung referred to was a graduation form held on April 1, 2000 for the academy's first class of trained militants who would fight in other places in the name of Islam. ''We are now preparing the arrest warrant,'' Landung said. He declined to say when exactly Bashir would be arrested, and nothing else saying it would be ''soon after his release'' in succession Friday. Bashir will walk emancipated soon after midnight Friday when his jail period of time ends. As the decision to arrest Bashir was made, the cleric's supporters gathered in van of the prison, waiting for his release. They have threatened ''to fight for his release'' if he is not released Friday. Last September, the Central Jakarta District Court sentenc Bashir to four years in prison for treason, falsification of identification cards and immigration violations. however last month, the Supreme Court reduc his dogma to 18 months. Jemaah Islamiyah has been blamed for a series of attacks in Indonesia, including the Bali bombings and bomb attacks forward the JW Marriott inn in Jakarta on Aug. 5 last year.
